Technical Bulletin: Circa and 1000w Lamps

As promised in our earlier Technical Bulletin on 1000 Watt lamps with reduced outer envelope, we have continued our testing program to insure proper performance and value in Gardco and Emco luminaires. This testing is now substantially completed. The results of the testing indicate that on the Gardco Circa 25, the wattage maximum should be adjusted.

As a result, we have taken the following actions:

1. In the Gardco Circa 25 only, 1000 Watt Metal Halide and 1000 Watt Pulse Start Metal Halide have been discontinued as a precaution, in all optics. This includes both horizontal lamp and vertical lamp configurations.
2. The 875 Watt Pulse Start Metal Halide has been added as the replacement for both 1000 Watt configurations.
3. The Circa submittal data sheet has been updated to reflect this change and is posted on www.sitelighting.com . The web site product section will be updated shortly.
4. The 1000 Watt Lamp matrix is updated and attached. Please note that only the Circa 25 has changed.

The 875 Watt Pulse Start Metal Halide offers an excellent lighting value, providing high initial lumens, high efficiency, improved lumen maintenance, and potential energy savings.

In many applications, the maintained light level may be higher with the 875 Watt PSMH versus 1000 Watt Metal Halide systems.

As part of our continuous improvement program we constantly evaluate all lamp options for Gardco and Emco products. This is just one small aspect of our dedication to maximized performance and maximized customer value inherent in all Gardco and Emco Lighting products.
